Vista performance issues

We are seeing a lot of this, performance issues in Vista relating to I/O, network shares, copying data. Apparently this fix is not part of the Vista service pack 1 due for release in first quarter 2008 but my Vista machine (Dual Core 2ghz/2gb) showed a fairly good leap in performance afterwards.
